Date codes and, since 2021, embedded microchips are checked against production country and period. Heat stamps are compared for font weight, spacing and depth. Stitch counts per inch, canvas alignment, hardware engravings, glazing and the smell and hand of the leather are all assessed. Where a model warrants it we add Entrupy certification.
Rolex and fine watches
Case and movement serial numbers are matched to reference and production year. Movements are inspected for correct caliber, finishing and service marks. Dials, hands and bezels are checked for originality and we disclose any aftermarket parts, such as custom diamond dials, plainly in the listing.
Jewelry
Metals are tested and hallmarks verified. Natural and lab-grown diamonds are identified with a diamond tester and, for stones above one carat, a report from GIA or IGI is provided or obtained.
