About

Lux Ledgr is the Birmingham house of Jason Thomas: an entrepreneur who has spent his life around beautifully made things, from European architecture to fine automobiles, and who now brings that same eye to authenticated pre-owned Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Gucci and fine jewelry.

Jason Thomas

Jason’s eye for design showed up early. In the fourth grade he drew the blueprints for his parents’ house, and the local newspaper put him on its front page for it.

At Samford University he studied abroad at the Daniel House, Samford’s London study centre a short walk from Kensington Palace, and spent his time there touring the castles and châteaux of Europe. He came home with a lasting appreciation for gracious living, art history and the craftsmanship behind things built to last.

After Samford he set aside plans for law school and went into business. He founded World Class Motors, a luxury car dealership in Gardendale, Alabama that his family now helps him run. He became a licensed contractor and real estate investor, and through Thomas Homes he builds and restores luxury homes in the Greystone area and beyond, including the meticulous restoration of an estate originally designed by its owner, Wilma Thompson.

From houses to handbags

Lux Ledgr started the way most collections do: as a personal passion. Jason began buying and selling fine pieces on eBay as The Luxury Ledger, under a simple motto of enjoying, buying and selling the finer things. The store has earned a 100% positive feedback record across more than 190 sales, and luxledgr.com is the next chapter: a direct home for the collection, with the same personal attention and without marketplace fees.

The standard is the one he applies to a restoration. Every piece is examined in hand before it is listed, condition is described honestly, and every flaw is photographed.

What we stand for

Authenticity first. Nothing is listed until it has been examined against brand references for date codes, heat stamps, hardware, stitching and materials. If a piece is ever shown not to be authentic, you return it for a full refund.

Honest grading. Our condition grades are defined in plain English on every product page, and every flaw is photographed. If a piece arrives and is not as described, you return it and we refund it.

Fair pricing. Selling direct means we no longer pay marketplace and payment-processor fees of thirteen to fifteen percent on every sale. We would rather pass that on through sharper prices and free insured shipping.

Birmingham, Alabama

We are based in the Birmingham area and offer local pickup and private viewings by appointment. The rest of the country we reach by fully insured UPS and FedEx. If you are passing through, the concierge can arrange a time to see a piece in person.
